The 43rd annual Golden Joystick Awards unfolded on Thursday, and with a remarkable show, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 claimed the title of the top winner. This standout role-playing game from Sandfall Interactive won the esteemed Top Game award, along with accolades for Superb Storytelling and Excellence in Visuals.

Adding to the studio's achievements, the skilled actors also garnered individual awards. Jennifer English was named Top Lead Actor for her role as Maelle, while Ben Starr took home Supporting Performance Award for his role as Verso. Furthermore, Sandfall Interactive the studio was honored as Best Development Team. In total, Clair Obscur and its makers won 7 awards during the event.

Other major winners included Ghost of Yōtei, which was awarded Best Audio Design and Console Game of the Year, and Hollow Knight: Silksong, honored with Top Self-Published Indie and Best PC Game. Notably, the majority of Golden Joystick Awards are chosen by the public, with only four special—Critics Choice, Breakthrough, Lifetime Achievement, and Streamer Selection—determined by critics.
